Heritage Trades and Crafts Workshop Program

Felting

The felting workshops will be conducted by Dame Mary Durack Award winner and local artist, Helen Stumkat.

All felting workshops include expert instruction, all materials, and morning/afternoon tea and lunch on all days. All felting workshops are for participants aged 16 years and older.

Introduction

Participants will learn surface decoration, colour blending and manipulation using diverse fibres, fabric scraps and threads.

They will make A4 sized samples of a range of different felting techniques that can be later crafted into unique small items including artworks, quilting squares, glasses cases and pin cushions.

Time: 8:30am-4:00pm
Cost: $140 (including GST)

Shawl/Wrap

  • 8-9 August 2009

Participants will create their own unique wool felted fabric shawl or wrap. Materials will be supplied, however participants will need to bring along their own tools and equipment. Contact Cobb+Co Museum for more details.
