The Cobb+Co Museum is well renowned for research into horse drawn carriages and the Cobb & Co. coaching company.

Deborah Tranter is the Director of Cobb+Co Museum, and has held this position since the branch opened in 1987. Mrs Tranter has brought to the Cobb+Co Museum an emphasis on interpreting the collection of horse-drawn vehicles to give visitors an appreciation of Queensland's early pioneering days, and has written and researched a number of books on Cobb & Co. in Queensland.

In addition to her position at Cobb+Co Museum Deborah is also the Director of Queensland Museum Regional Services. This program was established in July 2002 to effectively deliver Queensland Museum services statewide. This statewide program is run from the Cobb+Co Museum. The program consists of the Museum Resource Centre Network, Loans Service, Outreach Science programs, travelling exhibitions, Smithsonian Magnet Schools Program, BioBus travelling biotechnology education program and the Queensland Museum's lifelong learning programs.

Jeff Powell, is the Curator of Cobb+Co Museum. After years of research on horse-drawn vehicles Jeff can answer or assist with most questions pertaining to the horse-drawn era. He is currently researching information on the coach builders of Queensland.

Museum Resource Centre of Southern Inland Queensland

The Cobb+Co Museum is the home of the Museum Resource Centre for Southern Queensland. The Centre employs a Museum Development Officer (MDO) who provides a professional advisory and training service to staff and volunteers of museums, art galleries, historical societies and other keeping places.
