The Coach Stop
Especially for the kids… or the young at heart, The Coach Stop is all about play and experiences.
- Dress up and pretend to ride a Cobb & Co coach through the outback.
- Escape to Harry's Hideout and read one of the colourful story books to the wildlife decorating the walls.
- At the Cobb & Co. General Store, package up grocery orders for the customers. Parents and grand parents can also check out the display of old fashioned products and utensils.
- Take a ride on our life-sized replica horse, Socks.
- Laugh along with our kookaburra.
Little Cobbers
The Coach Stop is also where Little Cobbers is held on the first two Wednesdays of the month (except during school holidays) at 9.15am.
Little Cobbers is designed for children under six years of age and is based around a museum object in the Little Cobbers box encouraging fun, games and discovery.
Each month the Little Cobbers box is opened and a new object is uncovered, with the surprises so far including a wombat, a frog and koala
The children learn about the object in the box, hear a related story and poem and participate in craft activities, before they walk around the museum looking for other hidden objects
