Description: This low flat top wagon, 1.82 m wide and 4.6 m long, has an elevated seat for the driver. There are no floor boards as it was used to carry a banner in Labour Day processions in Brisbane c. 1919. The loading platform is mounted on its own turntable and it has decorative scalloped edges. Colour: Dark green body with cream lining, maroon undercarriage with dark green and cream lining. History: Many small flat top wagons were seen around the railways and docks hauling large loads of wool and other goods. The small wheels made them suitable for short hauls over reasonably good roads. Donated to the Queensland Museum by the Queensland Trades and Labour Counci in 1970. Registration: H7853
