Horse dray

Description:  Measuring 2 m by 2 m, this dray with its pair of shafts 2 m long has been extensively rebuilt using recycled timber. Kauri pine was used for the body and spotted gum for the shafts and felloes. Again there is a wind-on brake on the near side of the dray.

Colour:  Blue body with orange red undercarriage.

History:  This dray is typical of the general purpose farm vehicles used in south-east Queensland and was purchased by Mr Kev Teys for work on his Kingsthorpe dairy and mixed farm in 1950. He donated it to the Cobb & Co. Museum and has helped to carry out the extensive restoration work needed to repair the vehicle.

Registration: H20903
