Happy Birthday Play School

Come and celebrate with Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima at the exhibition celebrating 50 years of Play School, ABC’s much loved television program.

Play School

Relive your childhood and take a look through the Round, Square or Arched window and see what is under the rocket clock.

Play School is Australia’s longest-running children’s television program and since its initial broadcast on July 18, 1966, Play School has been providing Australian children with educational entertainment.

This exhibition provides adults a chance to bring their childhood memories back to life, and children have an opportunity to see these icons up close and enjoy the colourful display of familiar characters.

Things to see and do:

  • See some the much loved toys from Play School including Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty, and Jemima
  • Discover five decades of Play School with audio and video clips of past programs and presenters
  • See iconic props including the Rocket Clock, Flower Clock and the famous Play School Windows.

  • Get creative with Play School inspired craft activities
