Curator Conversation - Toowoomba during the War

Curator Conversation is a series of entertaining talks hosted by Queensland Museum Curator Jeff Powell.

Theme: Paul Herbert from the National Trust presents: Toowoomba during the War; 75 years since our darkest days.

Toowoomba was important in the coordination of the allied effort in the South Pacific during World War II.

The Head Quarters (HQ) of the First Australian Army of World War II was formed at Toowoomba on 15 April 1942 therefore for a time the HQ for the defense of Queensland and New South Wales was in Toowoomba.
