Glass Art Workshops
Capture the light in your home through beautiful glass art you have made yourself at Cobb+Co Museum.
We offer workshops in leadlighting and copperfoiling. Leadlighting involves fusing together pieces of coloured glass with lead solder to produce windows and other two-dimensional items which become a myriad of colours. Copperfoiling is an alternative method that replaces the lead with copper foil, enabling the creation of multi-facet works such as Tiffany lamps and glass boxes.

Our glass art workshops are conducted by acclaimed glass artist Richard Apel (pictured). Richard has completed numerous public art commissions, including a stained glass chapel window at Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. In 2008, Richard was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to learn centuries old German glass painting and firing techniques at the Schilling factory in Frankfurt.
