Have A Go Festival
Immerse yourself in our annual hands on celebration of traditional skills and crafts on 21+22 February 2015, 9.30am-4pm.
Over one full weekend, discover more than 40 traditional skills and crafts and meet the artisans who practice them. Plus, as the name suggests, have a go for yourself! As seen in Weekend Notes.
Step Up + Have A Go at stick furniture, pottery, weaving, lacemaking, crochet, leatherplaiting, silk painting, paper crafting, paper bead making, making your own veggie garden, and more.
Watch demonstrations in airbrush art, harnessing, wheelwrighting, resin jewellery making, beekeeping, rope making and soap making.
Children can have a go at making their own toys and have their face painted in the Kids Have A Go! area.
All this for just $10 per person per day!
Plus, you can enhance your Festival experience by booking into a Mini Workshop of up to 90 minutes in blacksmithing, glass gilding, copperfoiling, jewellery making, wood turning, felting, leathercraft, sugarcraft, millinery and ocarina making. Mini Workshops are $20-$30 each, including admission to the Festival, and should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment.
