A workshop to interest everyone

See two different types of metal transformed at Cobb+Co Museum’s workshops on the weekend of 4 and 5 June.
If you have ever wanted to have a go at blacksmithing, places are still available in the one day taster Blacksmithing Workshop to be held on 4 June.
Learn the basics of blacksmithing including operating a forge and using tools and an anvil and create a mounted hook to show off to all your visitors.
The workshop costs $170 including expert instruction, all materials and morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Bookings are essential.
An Advanced Silversmithing Workshop will also be held across the weekend, 4 and 5 June.
Participants have already completed a Beginners Silversmithing Workshop at Cobb+Co Museum and will further their skills by making a range of silver jewellery. Spectators are welcome.
Heritage trades workshops are conducted by Cobb+Co Museum’s resident artisans. Workshops in stonemasonry, leathercraft, felting, glass art, calligraphy, millinery and creative bookmaking are also on offer.

Cobb+Co Museum is part of the Queensland Museum. Located in Lindsay Street Toowoomba, the Museum opens daily from 10am – 4pm, except Good Friday, ANZAC Day and Christmas Day. Thanks to Toowoomba Regional Council, entry is free to all council residents on presentation of proof of address.
